Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Uphold all ethical standards associated with safety, quality, and food safety policies and procedures within the facility, including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and Values.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by scheduling orders to ship on time and in full quantity.
  • Lead, train, and develop team to ensure proper skill levels, covering vacancies as needed
  • Provide work assignments and confer with the team to determine work status, priorities and potential problems.
  • Manage weekly machine planning to ensure maximum operational productivity.
  • Manage a defined group of raw materials from order entry to delivery in time to meet the production schedule.
  • Work with customer service representatives to understand customer needs and prioritize schedules accordingly.
  • Develop product cycle calendars for routine specification schedule blocks.
  • Prepare, analyze and report KPIs to measure key service levels to customers.
  • Prepare daily order booking reports and schedule outlooks to alert of supply or scheduling delays.
  • Prepare capacity analyses, report trends, and alert other leaders to any potential supply/demand issues.
  • Plan appropriate stocking quantities and depletion protocols to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to maximize efficiency and accuracy of scheduling and purchasing functions.
  • Investigate root causes of late or partial shipments to customers and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other applicable field, or Associates Degree with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to exemplify professional behavior in all aspects of the position with the ability to get along with diverse personalities
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Possess strong communication skills within effectively one-on-one and group settings
  • Different means of communicating and training
  • Easily articulates ideas and needs, so people at all levels can understand
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to accurately measure using steel rulers, a measuring tape or other required measurement tools
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Computer literate with a strong knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with an aptitude to quickly absorb new procedures and implement continuous improvement ideas
  • Flexibility to work overtime and change shift hours
