Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Maintain and operate lab coater as assigned
  • Assist in scheduling/coordination of lab coater trials
  • Support the interface with project engineering to coordinate lab coater upgrades
  • Coordinate necessary mixing/testing/slitting activities associated with lab coater trials
  • Maintain raw material inventory
  • Apply technical experience to develop solutions for coating, laminating and adhesive formulation problems.
  • Effectively use site resources to accomplish objectives.
  • Document/communicate laboratory results in a clear, concise and reliable manner via use of laboratory notebooks, reports, presentations, etc.
  • Ensure that coating area is in “tour ready” condition at all times
  • Ensure that the systems, procedures and documentation used are consistent with those outlined in the QMS and its supporting documentation.
  • Stage raw materials
  • Make changes in PRISM
  • Move/remove racks as required
  • Make mixes as required to support Lab Coater schedule

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

 

  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years coating, web handling, mix room, and/or product testing experience.
  • Forklift certified
